Diane has over 29 years of experience as a legal assistant/paralegal, working within various aspects of intellectual property. She has been working in her current role at Avyno Law since the firm’s inception, January 2015.
Prior to joining Avyno Law, she worked at The Eclipse Group LLP for ten years as a Senior IP paralegal handling international patent and trademark prosecution matters and portfolio management.
Other previous experience includes working in-house as a senior intellectual property paralegal for Harman International Industries Incorporated, a manufacturer of high-end audio equipment for consumer and professional markets and assisted in the startup of the intellectual property department. Her responsibilities included handling the trademark portfolio, which included over 2300 cases for 75 subsidiaries worldwide, trademark opposition matters and maintaining worldwide patent annuities for the corporate entity.
The knowledge Diane has gained through both her law firm and in-house experience has provided her with an extensive intellectual property background, making her well versed in understanding the client’s business needs.
Diane received her business education from Robert Morris Business College in Chicago, Illinois in 1981, and received her Paralegal Certificate-California Equivalent in 2001. She continues to further her legal education to stay current with today’s marketplace.
